YOUNIS ON TOP, ANYBODY INTERESTED?


Frankly, I didn't see much of Pakistan skipper Younis Khan's 'marathon' 313-run knock vs Sri Lanka at Karachi. And, I don't regret it either. Who's interested in a Pakistan-Sri Lanka Test, anyways... Am sure even the pan (betel leaf) seller on the busy street next to Karachi's National Stadium was more keen to put his money on predicting the success of his government's peace pact with the Taliban than Younis crossing that magical 400-run mark. Cricket has been a great healer for Pakistan in the troubled times. Maybe no more.
But, Younis is certainly not complaining. That knock has taken him to the top (for the 1st time in his career) of ICC Test rankings for batsmen.
