THE RIGHT DIRECTION

It’s good to see that the unfortunate selection row, which engulfed the South African cricket team before their Test tour of Bangladesh, has finally ended. Cricket South Africa (CSA) has realized its mistake and tendered a public apology. Good for cricket in the African nation.
Whatever the transformation policy of CSA, you can’t select a national squad just on the basis of colour. It’s fine if there is a talented pool of players around. However, if there aren’t many budding Makhaya Ntinis, then there is no point to gift them the national jersey just because of some existing quota. Fortunately, CSA has realized its mistake in time and cricket has won…
