The Nawab of Najafgarh, the Sultan of Multan and now the Champion of Chepauk. Virender Sehwag missed breaking Brian Lara's Test record in Chennai but deserves all the credit for playing a knock which will be remembered for the years to come.
It is easy to score runs on a flat track but the way Viru went about his way was simply scintillating. He played his natural attacking style and didn't hesitate to hit the ball out of the park whether he was in 90s, 190s or 290s.
He's got into the elite league of Bradman and Lara by scoring a triple hundred twice. He may not be as gifted as those players, but Viru would always remain special.
