IPL - BIGGER, BETTER BUT WHEN?

There are so many interesting battles going on in world cricket right now but somehow everyone, everywhere seems to be bothered about the fate of the Indian Premier League or the IPL. Babus (government servants) of the India have for ages spent their working hours watching, hearing, discussing the game. Only this time, they are doing it the boardrooms - officialy. Meetings are being held, schedule is being re-done everyday, top cops from varrious states are landing in New Delhi - the country's capital - to discuss (yes, you guessed it right) the IPL. Are you seeing this Mr Sunil Gavaskar? You only wrote a few days ago that IPL is "just another domestic tournament in India" and that not much fuss should be made about the security issues surrounding it. Your timing has always been excellent but maybe you picked this one too early. Yes, theoritically, IPL is just another domestic tournament but with 80 international players landing in India for the 45-day extravaganza, it's way, way bigger than that.
