SMITH DETHRONES MASTER BLASTER

After taking his team to the top of the ICC ODI championship table, Graeme Smith has achieved a personal milestone. The South Africa captain, who grabbed Player of the Series award against Bangladesh, is now the top-ranked ODI player in the world.

He leapfrogged Australian skipper Ricky Ponting and India’s Sachin Tendulkar to take the coveted spot. With no one-day action in store for the Indians as well as the Australians till late June, Smith is assured to be at the helm for at least next two months.
